

Personal Data Collection and Privacy
The Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (hereinafter ‘IBMI’) collects personal data in accordance with Paragraph 1 of Article 8 under Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter ‘PDPA’). IBMI is fully in compliance with PDPA when collecting, using and keeping personal information.
IBMI collects personal data to provide information on projects, events and services related to IBMI’s work in government affairs, consultancy, awarding and certification, startup incubation, partnership and collaboration.
Personal data IBMI collects including name, contact information (e.g. contact number, job title, email, residence and/or office address, personal ID) and others that can prove your identity.
Duration: the duration of personal data collected and held.
Recipients: IBMI collects, processes and uses personal data when and where necessary from recipients involved in IBMI’s work, events and activities.
Territory: IBMI collects personal data from recipients within Taiwan territory, unless other locations outside of Taiwan indicated.
Methods: IBMI employs methods that comply with PDPA, regardless automated systems or manually operated ones, to collect, process and transfer and use personal data.
As per Article 3 by PDPA, IBMI allows you to request access to personal data that IBMI held about you.
You can request access to check, read or ask for a copy of your personal data. Certain formats of data output requested by you are subject to cost.
You can request amendment and correction of your personal data provided that you have specified details on which you wish IBMI to do with your personal data.
You can request cessation of the collection, processing or use, and deletion of your personal data; IBMI, however, has the right to turn down your request by clear indication backed by the law or where it sees necessary.
When exercising your rights, you must make a request in writing by email ([email protected]). IBMI will proceed with your request once we have received it.
You can decide whether or not to provide your personal data. Please be advised that IBMI will not be able to provide you with services related to personal data collection and services with such purpose if you opt for not providing your personal data or providing invalid data.
