Brand Identity and Symbolism
The corporate logo features a solid, upright square that symbolizes the group's "pragmatic" character. Following the group's management philosophy, E-Da Hospital (abbreviated as EDAH) incorporates a "cross" into its identity to represent the healthcare industry. With the robust support of the E-United Group, the hospital remains committed to pragmatism and growth, striving to provide superior medical services, quality care, and professional management.

Mr. Yu-Ziang Hsu, the founder of Far Eastern Group attached a great importance to corporate social responsibility. In order to resolve low accessibility to medical resources at New Taipei City, Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) commenced the service in Banqiao since 1981 after Far Eastern Medical Foundation was established. FEMH continues to bring in advanced medical equipment, innovative medical technologies, and to look after health and well-beings of the community. FEMH is the only medical center in New Taipei City, and it is not just assuring individual’s health and well-beings, but developing smart healthcare services by applying AI technology. FEMH is capable to provide and lead healthcare services at the world stage, as it continues to win the National Healthcare Quality Award (Healthcare Quality Improvement Campaign) and Disease-Specific Care Certification. In August 2021, the president handover ceremony was held. Kuan-Ming Chiu, a surgeon from Cardiovascular Surgery Division, became FEMH’s 7th president. Feng Yuan Hospital of the Feng-Yuan District of Taichung was established on April 30, 1983, under a government policy providing for the establishment of one provincial hospital in every city and county. It was administered under the umbrella of the Taiwan Provincial Health Department. The hospital was initially planned to have 100 beds.
The basic principle of the initial planning of the hospital advocated proactive discovery of the people’s requirements, consolidation of community resources, and provision of comprehensive and sustained community health and medical care services.

Administration of hospital services is run under a corporate management system and principles under the objective of consolidating local resources, establishing liaison with various medical institutions, developing a community medical network, and becoming a community medical center capable of providing outpatient and healthcare services, research and education, and physical rehabilitation services. The scope of service encompasses twelve townships of the Feng-Yuan secondary local living circle, such as Feng-Yuan City, Shih-Kang Township, Tung-Shih Township, Hsin-She Township, Ho-Ping Township, Hou-Li Township, Shen-Kang Township, Tan-Tzu Township, Ta-Ya Township, Wai-Pu Township of Taichung, and Cho-Lan Township and San-Yi Township of Miaoli County, with a population of over 600,000. In response to the province downsizing policy of the government, the hospital which was initially under the umbrella of the Taiwan Provincial Health Department was turned over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Health of the Executive Yuan on July 1, 1999; moreover, its former title – Taiwan Provincial Feng Yuan Hospital – was renamed to “Feng Yuan Hospital of the Department of Health, Executive Yuan”.

In 2008, Feng Yuan Hospital was rated as an outstanding hospital under the New Hospital Accreditation system and a qualified teaching hospital. On July 23, 2013, in line with the establishment of the Ministry of Health and Welfare under the Executive Yuan reorganization plan, Feng Yuan Hospital of the Department of Health was renamed as the “Feng Yuan Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

To date, the hospital is a regional teaching hospital housing 689 beds and employing around 1,000 medical staff. Feng Yuan Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare sets a goal of “becoming an outstanding health-fostering hospital in greater Feng-Yuan Area providing medical services on a par with the standards of medical centers” and fulfilling a mission to care for public health, implement government policies, and provide care to disadvantaged groups. Upholding a core value of concern, honesty, and innovation, Feng Yuan Hospital established a safe, patient-oriented, time-efficient, impartial, and fine quality medical and health service system and developed distinctive fields of specialization. In pursuit of excellence, the hospital upgraded its medical service standards to mold itself into a provider of medical training for acute and serious diseases and a rescue center of the emergency medical network. The hospital serves as a “response action hospital for the communicable disease prevention and control medical network,” “designated AIDS medical care institution,” and a “contract hospital for the immigrant medical examination requirement of the American Institute in Taiwan.”

Feng Yuan Hospital also aggressively promotes the policy of “enhancement of the acute and serious disease medical service and development of differentiated services, thereby becoming the neighborhood guardian of the community’s health.

With the philosophy of being concerned about giving back to society, Cathay General Hospital (CGH) was established by the Cathay Life Insurance Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Lin-Yuan Group. Cathay General Hospital was inaugurated in February 1977. To further expand the scope of medical services, the hospital established its Neihu Branch in October 1997 and its Hsinchu Branch in August 2002.
