TCM BIOTECH Continues New Drug and Innovative Medical Device Development; 2025 Operations Expected to Surpass Last Year
2025-07-14

At its shareholders’ meeting on the 27th, TCM BIOTECH approved the 2024 financial statements and dividend distribution plan, proposing a cash dividend of NT$0.35 per share. Chairman Huan-Ching Hsu stated that although revenue declined last year due to adjustments in production and sales structure, overall profitability still grew. For 2025, cumulative consolidated revenue through May decreased by 2.17% year-on-year; however, May alone showed strong growth with monthly revenue up 34.65% and year-on-year growth of 22.08%, reflecting robust double-digit monthly and yearly increases. With continued benefits from product mix adjustments, second-half performance is expected to surpass the first half.

Looking ahead, Hsu said the company will keep advancing the development of new drugs and innovative medical devices. The phase III clinical trial in Taiwan for U101, a new drug aimed at preventing recurrent urinary tract infections, is ongoing. TCM BIOTECH has also completed a pre-submission meeting with the U.S. FDA regarding the phase III trial and plans to further strategize entry into the U.S. market.

On the business front, TCM BIOTECH noted that recovering market demand has driven stable shipments of key products such as joint injection agents, anti-adhesion gels, and platelet-rich plasma separation tubes. Newly distributed products have also contributed to sales. Additionally, the depreciation of the Japanese yen is expected to enhance profit margins. The company is optimistic about returning to revenue growth this year, with full-year profitability projected to exceed last year’s performance.
