Publicly listed biotechnology company SciVision Biotech has achieved another milestone in its expansion into the Russian market. Following the approval of its Hyalush series of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers for aesthetic use on October 11, the company announced on the 18th that its Flexotron Tendon intra-articular injection product has also received Russian marketing authorization and is expected to begin contributing to revenue as early as the fourth quarter of this year.

Flexotron Tendon, the sister product of SciVision’s Flexotron Knee injection, represents a next-generation therapy for osteoarthritis. It combines hyaluronic acid with mannitol through innovative formulation technology that eliminates free radicals and prolongs the protective effects of hyaluronic acid within the joint cavity. This enhancement significantly improves the efficacy compared with traditional hyaluronic acid injections. The product has already obtained domestic marketing approval in Taiwan.

SciVision Biotech noted that Flexotron Tendon is the first product of its kind in Taiwan to obtain marketing authorization. The company is currently applying for National Health Insurance (NHI) pricing approval domestically, while also advancing its international market strategy. In addition to successfully entering Central American markets earlier this year, SciVision plans to further pursue EU and Southeast Asian regulatory approvals to strengthen its global competitiveness and business momentum. The company expects these developments to drive higher demand and market share for its intra-articular injection portfolio both in Taiwan and abroad.
