ImmunAdd, a startup spun out from National Taiwan University (NTU), has leveraged its globally exclusive fully synthetic chemistry technology to tackle the high costs of natural saponin adjuvants that challenge the global vaccine industry. This innovation is expected to reshape the global supply chain for vaccine adjuvants. Recently, with the support of DIAMOND BIOFUND, ImmunAdd completed an oversubscribed funding round, raising NT$450 million.

DIAMOND BIOFUND led ImmunAdd’s Series A in 2023 and remains its largest institutional shareholder. Over two years, ImmunAdd has developed and validated its synthetic saponin adjuvants, which are now ready to enter Phase I clinical trials. Once human safety and efficacy data are obtained, the company aims to accelerate licensing and collaborations with major international vaccine manufacturers.

Founder and CEO Pi-Hui Liang stated that ImmunAdd has already established collaboration agreements with multiple global pharmaceutical companies for technical validation and application testing. Early data have confirmed the clinical potential of the synthetic saponin adjuvants and laid a strong foundation for future licensing partnerships, enabling faster international market expansion. While the company initially planned to raise NT$300 million in the third quarter, strong investor demand drove the final amount to NT$450 million, reflecting high confidence from the capital market.
