Licensing Revenue Boosts HanchorBio’s September Revenue to NT$312 Million
2025-11-30

HanchorBio (stock code: Hanchor-KY) reported record-breaking consolidated revenue of NT$312 million in September, driven by the recognition of licensing income from its novel anti-cancer fusion protein drug, HCB101. In functional currency terms, consolidated revenue for September amounted to US$10 million.

At the end of June, HanchorBio, through its wholly owned subsidiary FBD, signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Shanghai Henlius Biotech for the development and commercialization of HCB101 in designated territories, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and several Southeast Asian countries. The US$10 million upfront payment was received in two tranches and fully recognized as revenue in September.

HanchorBio stated that, under the agreement, it will be eligible to receive up to an additional US$192 million in milestone payments tied to product development and sales achievements. Upon successful commercialization of HCB101, HanchorBio will also earn sales-based royalties, which will be recognized according to accounting standards. All commercialization costs within the licensed territories will be borne by Shanghai Henlius Biotech.

Developed using HanchorBio’s proprietary FBDB (Functional Bispecific Design-Based) technology platform, HCB101 is an innovative fusion protein drug capable of flexibly combining multiple targets to enhance tumor immune responses and improve therapeutic potential. In a completed Phase Ia clinical trial, HCB101 demonstrated a favorable safety profile and potential efficacy in patients with gastric and head and neck cancers. The related research results have been repeatedly recognized with awards and publications in peer-reviewed journals, earning strong validation from both the scientific and medical communities. The drug is currently in ongoing global multicenter Phase Ib/IIa clinical trials evaluating combination therapies.

HanchorBio noted that achieving its first external licensing agreement within just five years of establishment underscores the industry’s recognition of its innovative fusion protein technology and marks a critical step toward global commercialization. The company is actively advancing discussions for additional global and regional licensing deals for its pipeline assets and anticipates bringing more international partners on board in the near future to jointly drive the worldwide development and commercialization of next-generation fusion protein therapeutics, further enhancing HanchorBio’s global competitiveness and corporate value.
