Publicly listed biotech company SciVision Biotech has achieved another milestone in expanding its presence in the Russian aesthetic medicine market. Following the recent approval of its granular and gel-type products last month, the company announced on the 14th that its next-generation regenerative injectable products—ESKYLAGE Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) Injectable Implant, which stimulates natural collagen regeneration, and ESKYLAGE Instant Dermal Implant (PLLA+HA), a composite formulation combining Poly-L-Lactic Acid with cross-linked hyaluronic acid—have both received Russian sales approval. The new products are expected to begin contributing to revenue as early as this quarter.
According to SciVision Biotech General Manager Taishien Han, the company’s Russian partner for these regenerative injectable products is the same corporate group that distributes its intra-articular injection products. Notably, this group is one of Russia’s major domestic enterprises that expanded significantly in the pharmaceutical and aesthetic medicine fields following the withdrawal of many Western companies during the Russia–Ukraine war. By cooperating with Russian government policies, the group quickly and effectively rebuilt the supply chain for intra-articular injection products, successfully replacing withdrawn foreign suppliers. This enabled SciVision’s intra-articular injection products to become Russia’s leading brand by market share. The group has since acquired aesthetic medicine and marketing companies, growing into a dynamic conglomerate with dual focuses on pharmaceuticals and aesthetic medicine.
The mechanism of regenerative injectables involves the injection of Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), which activates fibroblasts in the skin to fundamentally promote the production of collagen, elastin, and other key components in the dermis—achieving structural skin regeneration.
The two next-generation Eskylage regenerative injectable implants were developed following extensive market research and careful formulation to effectively stimulate skin cell renewal, revitalize the dermis, fill depressions, improve skin texture, and enhance elasticity—focusing on reactivating the skin’s natural repair mechanism at its root. With the strong marketing and distribution capabilities of SciVision’s Russian partner, the company aims to achieve significant growth in both the Russian and Eurasian Economic Union aesthetic medicine markets.
The Eskylage Instant Dermal Implant, which has obtained its first overseas sales approval, integrates SciVision’s globally patented self-crosslinking hyaluronic acid technology with its next-generation collagen-stimulating formulation technology. This self-crosslinking process reduces the need for additional crosslinking agents, improving biocompatibility and providing a safer and more effective stimulation of natural collagen and elastin regeneration. It also offers an immediate volumizing effect for subcutaneous tissue—particularly effective for correcting skin depressions such as folds, wrinkles, creases, scars, and age-related skin laxity. With its launch, the product will provide physicians and consumers with more treatment options, expanding the applications of dermal fillers while delivering a natural, plump, and youthful appearance.
