Medical testing company WeLeader Biomedical recently announced its Q3 financial results, reporting consolidated quarterly revenue of NT$296 million—a record high for a single quarter—up 16% year-on-year and continuing the trend of sequential quarterly growth seen throughout 2025. Gross margin, operating margin, and net profit margin for Q3 were 34%, 25%, and 20%, respectively, all showing improvements compared with the same period last year. This drove operating profit to NT$74.83 million and net profit after tax to NT$59.83 million, both achieving quarterly highs. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at NT$1.32.
WeLeader’s revenue and profit growth in Q3 were supported by stable performance in in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents and equipment sales. The company has long collaborated with renowned medical diagnostics manufacturer Roche (Taiwan), offering a comprehensive product portfolio that includes biochemical, immunological, urine, blood gas, and molecular diagnostic reagents. Its broad customer base spans major hospitals, primary care clinics, and medical testing laboratories, serving over 3,000 clients. Particularly, WeLeader enjoys high penetration in benchmark medical laboratories, and as newly established clinics increasingly partner with these key labs, the company’s market share continues to expand.
In addition, WeLeader’s core IVD reagents and equipment business has extended into medical information platform services, which achieved a significant breakthrough in Q3.
Subsidiary Health Leader Biomedical successfully implemented its newly developed next-generation Laboratory Information System (LIS) in a leading domestic medical testing laboratory for the first time. The company noted that primary care clinics in Taiwan rely on medical laboratories for diagnostic services, and improvements in testing quality, combined with flexible workflow collaboration, can be achieved through the solutions provided by Health Leader Biomedical. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also empowers labs to offer clinics more effective, digitalized services. The move aligns with the trends in preventive medicine and precision healthcare while accelerating the digital transformation and service upgrades of medical laboratories. Several clients are already actively negotiating collaborations.
Cumulative revenue for WeLeader Biomedical in the first three quarters reached NT$814 million, marking a record high for the period and a 10% year-on-year increase—the largest growth in the past two years. Net profit after tax for the first three quarters was NT$151 million, up 16% year-on-year, with EPS of NT$3.37. The company expects Q4 operations to maintain the growth momentum seen throughout the year. Looking ahead, WeLeader plans to further strengthen its core IVD reagents and equipment business while continuing to develop an integrated medical information platform, expand diversified service offerings, and create added value in healthcare services.
