Meribank Biotech Biotech founder Min-Chih Hsuan announced a three-way MOU with AHEAD Intelligence and Apexcella Biomedical to optimize Allogeneic Natural Killer (NK) cell manufacturing and establish an AI-driven immune cell detection platform.

• Technical Synergy: The partnership combines Meribank Biotech’s cord blood storage and cultivation expertise with Apexcella Biomedical’s ApexNK platform, which can expand NK cells by several hundred-thousand-fold. AHEAD Intelligence will provide the AI infrastructure to interpret flow cytometry data for precise health assessments.
• The "National Shield" Vision: Hsuan emphasized that unlike the ICT sector, which is export-dependent, the biotech industry can use Taiwan’s superior clinical environment as a "proving ground" to validate technologies before global scaling. The integrated system is expected to achieve commercial deployment by the end of 2026.
• Standardization: The goal is to transform Allogeneic NK therapy into a standardized, high-precision clinical solution, positioning Taiwan as a global leader in regenerative medicine.
