Taiwanese AI medical imaging leader TaiHao Medical Inc. announced multiple major international developments on July 10, demonstrating its technological strength and commercial progress in the global healthcare market.

TaiHao Medical’s AI medical imaging solutions have successfully obtained market approval from the Thailand Food and Drug Administration (TFDA), Malaysia’s Medical Device Authority (MDA), and Vietnam’s Ministry of Health (MOH), further expanding its footprint in the Southeast Asian market. Notably, the company has secured procurement orders from two public hospitals in Thailand. In Malaysia, its products are undergoing trials at several public hospitals and have received positive initial feedback, signaling rapid clinical adoption.

Its AI software will be integrated with GE’s Invenia ABUS system and has been designated as the official third-party AI partner for GE’s Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) system. This collaboration not only affirms the maturity and clinical value of TaiHao Medical’s AI technology but also marks its official entry into the high-end medical device supply chain, further solidifying its leadership in the global AI healthcare sector.

TaiHao Medical’s General Manager, Rong-Tai Chen, said that obtaining regulatory approvals in three Southeast Asian countries simultaneously and securing orders from Thai hospitals prove that TaiHao’s products effectively meet local healthcare needs. Being chosen as an official partner by GE HealthCare is the highest recognition of the company’s years of dedicated R&D efforts. Chen emphasized, “This is not only a technological integration but a strategic alliance that will accelerate the global adoption of our AI solutions.”

One of TaiHao Medical’s core products, the BU-CAD Ultrasound Breast Tumor Computer-Aided Decision Support System, has previously passed rigorous reviews by Taiwan’s TFDA and the U.S. FDA.
