On July 14, Sinphar Pharmaceutical announced a major step forward in its internationalization efforts. During the Interphex Japan exhibition held this July, Sinphar’s General Manager, Yu-Liang Pei, personally led a team to Japan, where the company successfully signed several cross-border cooperation agreements. The team also held in-depth discussions regarding pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and import sales, further strengthening its market presence in Taiwan and across Asia.
Yu-Liang Pei stated that after years of dedicated efforts, Sinphar has now concluded partnership talks with several top-tier Japanese pharmaceutical companies at Interphex Japan. The collaborations span a variety of models, including drug distribution, contract manufacturing, joint development, and exclusive sales arrangements. Agreements signed include the export of an oncology drug, an agency agreement for a gastrointestinal drug, and a distribution deal for a cardiovascular medication.
In addition, Sinphar has signed several memorandums of understanding (MOUs) covering agency rights for a diabetes drug, export cooperation for an oncology drug, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). These agreements are expected to be finalized soon and will enhance the company’s product portfolio in oncology and chronic disease treatment, while also facilitating joint market development in Japan and the broader Asian region. Follow-up on-site visits have also been scheduled with industry partners after the exhibition.
Pei emphasized that these partnerships represent a comprehensive collaboration spanning technology, distribution channels, and brand development. The deals underscore Sinphar’s reliability and synergistic role within the Asian pharmaceutical supply chain. The company anticipates that, in addition to earlier-announced collaborations with major Japanese firms to jointly export to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, these new agreements will contribute to revenue growth by the end of this year. They are also expected to significantly increase production line utilization and expand Sinphar’s export share, thereby accelerating the overall upgrade of its product portfolio.
Looking ahead, Sinphar aims to strengthen its global strategic positioning by continuing to deepen its overseas partnerships and expand into regional markets, further elevating the global presence of Taiwan’s pharmaceutical brands.
