The second Healthy Ageing Tech Show was held from August 8 to 10 at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. With the theme “Ageing Well Together, Walking with Taipei,” the Taipei City Government set up the “Taipei Pavilion” at Booth A432c. The pavilion integrated three core elements—interactive experiences, age-friendly design, and senior services—highlighting the city’s diverse achievements in ageing policies. By collaborating with local innovative enterprises, the city presented its vision of creating an intelligent, resilient, and inclusive age-friendly capital, inviting citizens to join in the event.
Taipei has now entered a super-aged society, with over 23% of its population aged 65 and above. Recognizing that seniors’ health and quality of life are critical to society’s future, the Taipei City Government has adopted a people-centered approach, integrating city planning into everyday life to build a healthy and age-friendly environment. Its goal is to shape Taipei into a livable city that respects and supports its ageing population.
Multiple city departments participated in the initiative, demonstrating Taipei’s commitment to senior welfare and reflecting deep respect and care for older adults. The pavilion’s content was designed around four policy dimensions:
The Taipei Pavilion also gathered 10 outstanding local companies to showcase products, technologies, and services designed for senior needs, including AI diagnostic tools, wearable eldercare devices, AR interactive applications, home-care solutions, and healthy dietary programs. To enrich the exhibition experience, the pavilion offered a full schedule of diverse stage activities, such as silver-age beauty workshops, wellness dining seminars, AR fitness experiences, senior exercise classes, and industry achievement presentations—bringing fresh excitement every day.
The second Healthy Ageing Tech Show was launched in Taipei on a grand scale, combining resources from both industry and government to advance innovative ageing services and co-create a hopeful vision for the capital. From smart applications in industry innovation, to health and wellness for seniors, to lifestyle experiences for happiness, the event painted a comprehensive picture of Taipei’s age-friendly future. Looking ahead, the Taipei City Government will continue to address the needs of an ageing society, develop more comprehensive ageing health policies, and enhance healthcare service systems. With continued innovation and industrial engagement, the city is dedicated to improving the quality of life and well-being of its seniors—building a brighter, more fulfilling future for all.
