AmCad BioMed has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with a Turkish partner for its overnight-free, ultrasound-based smart sleep monitoring device, AmCad SleepCheck, and received its first batch of orders this month. Yili Lee, General Manager of AmCad BioMed, stated that the device will be used for broad screening in local clinics to provide personalized treatment for patients. This marks the company’s first expansion of the device’s applications beyond dentistry and ENT into the field of cardiology.

Turkey has a population of over 87 million and a healthcare market approaching $30 billion USD. The selected distributor is a well-known local cardiologist with a chain of clinics and strong marketing resources, expected to facilitate rapid adoption of the product in the Turkish market.

Globally, approximately 20% of the population suffers from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), with moderate to severe cases reaching 425 million people. Multiple studies have confirmed that OSA increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and hypertension. The American Heart Association (AHA) has also issued statements highlighting the strong association between OSA and various cardiovascular conditions.

AmCad BioMed noted that the distributor first encountered AmCad SleepCheck at the Arab Health Exhibition earlier this year, immediately inquiring about collaboration opportunities, and formally placed an order this month.

Lee emphasized that Turkey is one of the world’s most populous countries with a large domestic demand. Its healthcare market ranks just behind Saudi Arabia in the region. The local distributor is a respected clinician with practical experience and established social media marketing channels, which is expected to have a highly positive impact on promoting and expanding AmCad’s sleep apnea detection products in Turkey.
