Medimaging Integrated Solution (MIS), a medical device manufacturer, experienced softer performance in the second and third quarters as its core ENT endoscope market entered a wait-and-see phase. However, shipments of its cystoscopes—marketed in the United States through a partnership with Boston Scientific—began ramping up steadily in April, becoming a key secondary revenue driver and boosting the company’s cumulative revenue for the first three quarters by 36% year over year. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, MIS noted that orders for ENT endoscopes have begun to recover, while cystoscope shipments continue to trend upward, positioning quarterly revenue for further growth.
MIS has been actively expanding its international footprint. In addition to successful entry into the U.S. market with its disposable cystoscopes and bronchoscopes, the company has also made progress in Japan. In the first half of the year, MIS partnered with ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD. to launch disposable endoscopes designed specifically for veterinary clinical diagnostics and treatment. Most recently, the company announced that its electronic disposable bronchoscope, the ECB100, has passed Japan’s Class II medical device review, and MIS is now seeking local partners to support sales.
Historically, MIS derived most of its revenue from ENT endoscopes. While market hesitation weighed on results in the first three quarters, current order trends indicate that the fourth quarter should show improvement compared with the third quarter.
Meanwhile, MIS’s disposable cystoscope—licensed to the global medical device leader Boston Scientific—has become an important new growth engine. After supporting Boston Scientific through regulatory filings in various countries last year, MIS began正式 shipments this year. The company stated that shipment volume has been rising steadily since April and is expected to continue climbing through year-end, putting the cystoscope business on track to catch up with ENT endoscopes as MIS’s second major revenue pillar.
