Biopharmaceutical company Tanvex BioPharma (泰福-KY) began shipping the first batch of its biosimilar NYPOZI in late September, produced in collaboration with strategic partner Cipla for commercial-scale distribution. Analysts note that the initial shipment was relatively small, as Cipla intends to launch the product under its own brand. A larger second batch is expected before the end of the year. Given the current competitive landscape, NYPOZI is projected to capture over 10% market share at peak sales, which could in turn drive additional CDMO orders as other clients advance from late-stage clinical production to commercial-scale manufacturing.

Tanvex’s self-developed product TX01, licensed to major generic drug manufacturer Cipla, also shipped its first batch in September. To secure first-mover advantage, the initial batch was branded under Tanvex, while a trademark change application has been submitted to the FDA. Market forecasts suggest that the second shipment, under Cipla’s brand, will generate stronger momentum than the first, potentially arriving before year-end, with subsequent orders contingent on end-market sales.

NYPOZI is the fifth manufacturer of its class to enter the U.S. market. However, Cipla holds significant distribution influence in the U.S., and Tanvex’s domestic production status adds credibility. Analysts estimate that capturing over 10% U.S. market share at peak sales represents a conservative projection.

The commercial-scale launch in the U.S. has also attracted attention from other major pharmaceutical companies, with one recently visiting Tanvex’s manufacturing facility. Internally, Tanvex hopes that continued development of its mammalian fermentation capacity above 2,000 liters and increased commercial batch production will accelerate CDMO orders, transitioning more late-stage clinical projects into commercial-scale manufacturing.
