United Biopharma (UBI/TaiMed Digital) announced an agreement with the Russian pharmaceutical giant R-Pharm, JSC for a Named Patient Program (NPP) supply agreement. This move is expected to significantly catalyze Medigen’s momentum in the Russian market.
Under the agreement, R-Pharm will provide Trogarzo, an anti-HIV drug, to eligible patients with multi-drug resistant (MDR) HIV-1 in Russia and surrounding regions, following local regulatory approvals. The NPP allows patients with urgent clinical needs to access the medication via a special authorized medical pathway before its formal commercial launch in the region.
CEO James Chang stated that the partnership demonstrates the company's commitment to global MDR-HIV patients and represents a concrete milestone in its international expansion. R-Pharm CEO Vasiliy Ignatiev added that Trogarzo offers a new ray of hope for patients whose viral loads were previously suppressed unsuccessfully by existing therapies.
