ASUS Scales Smart Healthcare: Building an AI Robotics Ecosystem
2026-03-23

ASUS is pivoting from standalone robot development to a comprehensive "Robotics Ecosystem." General Manager of the Robotic & Smart Appliance Division, James Wang, announced the debut of the Maestro Smart Command Center at the upcoming healthcare expo. Maestro integrates humanoid robots (Zenbo), service robots (Kairo), virtual agents (Sage), and voice assistants into a multi-agent architecture capable of cross-platform task scheduling and collaborative operations.

Strategic Framework:

  • Three-Layer Infrastructure: This ecosystem integrates with the Smart Healthcare 4.0 platform, combining AI and cloud computing to offer end-to-end solutions from hardware to software.
  • Next-Gen HIS (xHIS): Vice President of ASUS Intelligent Cloud Services (AICS), Grant Huang, noted that their xHIS has been successfully deployed in the New Taipei City Hospital system. The goal is to implement this in 20 hospitals within three years before expanding the platform globally.
  • Addressing the Care Gap: The strategy focuses on reducing the administrative burden on medical staff. Solutions range from VivoWatch wearables and handheld ultrasound at the application layer to AI/HPC servers and hybrid clouds at the infrastructure layer. The xHIS (in-hospital) and iHub (community care) platforms serve as the data backbone connecting these services.
