Synmosa Partners with Zai Lab Taiwan to Commercialize Six Innovative Therapies
2026-06-15

Synmosa (健喬) announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Zai Lab (再鼎醫藥) to commercialize six global innovative therapies in Taiwan. Zai Lab is a NASDAQ and HKEX-listed biopharmaceutical leader. This partnership aligns with Synmosa's "International Licensing, Strategic Alliance, and Accelerated Local Implementation" strategy.

The Six Innovative Therapies:

  1. Optune (Tumor Treating Fields): A world-first, non-invasive physical therapy for Glioblastoma (GBM). It uses low-intensity, intermediate-frequency alternating electric fields to disrupt cancer cell mitosis. (Approved in Taiwan).
  2. Qinlock (Ripretinib): A novel switch-control tyrosine kinase inhibitor for Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST). It is the only option for third-line patients who have relapsed. (Approved in Taiwan).
  3. Augtyro (Repotrectinib): A next-generation TKI for ROS1-positive NSCLC and NTRK-positive solid tumors. It features superior CNS penetration to treat brain metastases and remains active against resistance mutations like G2032R. (Approved in Taiwan).
  4. Tivdak (Tisotumab vedotin-tftv): The first US FDA-approved Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) targeting Tissue Factor (TF) for Cervical Cancer.
  5. Vyvgart (Efgartigimod alfa): A first-in-class FcRn inhibitor that selectively reduces pathogenic IgG, used for Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG).
  6. Cobenfy (Xanomeline/Trospium): The first M1/M4 muscarinic receptor agonist for Schizophrenia. It avoids traditional dopamine-blocking side effects, addressing both positive and negative symptoms while improving compliance.

Chairman Lin Chih-hui emphasized that this collaboration marks Synmosa's transformation from a local manufacturer to a high-end innovator, addressing significant unmet needs for over 100,000 patients in Taiwan.
