Onyx Healthcare Enters Harvest Period for AI Clinical Computing and Smart Long-Term Care; Dual Europe-US Engine Fully Operational
2026-06-29

Onyx Healthcare (醫揚) General Manager Chuang Fu-chun announced a structural realignment of the company's global operations at its earnings performance presentation on May 20, 2026. The post-pandemic blueprint formally establishes a dual-track operational framework—"Medical Device OEM/ODM" and "Smart Healthcare Channel Distribution"—across both European and American markets. Driven by real revenue recognition from AI medical devices, software-defined healthcare computing, and smart long-term care, these segments are positioned as the primary engines for mid-to-long-term growth.

  • Ecosystem Alliances: Onyx has partnered with NVIDIA since 2016 to deploy clinical AI computing architecture, while simultaneously deepening its edge-AI and clinical network development workflows with Intel to build an integrated medical AI ecosystem.
  • The "Two-Way Learning" Strategy: Prior to the pandemic, approximately 95% of Onyx's revenue was concentrated in Western markets, with the Americas driving OEM/ODM medical device projects and Europe operating hospital channel distributions. Pandemic-induced medical resource reallocation delayed Americas pipeline programs, while European public health budget tightening impacted local channels. In response, Onyx implemented a cross-regional optimization strategy from 2024 to 2025:
    • Europe: Successfully secured several large-scale medical device OEM/ODM long-term contracts, guaranteeing stable commercial shipping pipelines spanning 7 to 10 years.
    • Americas: Scaled hospital channel distribution networks and clinical IT enterprise accounts. Onyx projects that hospital channel sales will contribute 15% to 20% of total Americas revenue this fiscal year.
  • The Clinical Shift to Edge-AI: Chuang emphasized that acute nursing shortages globally have made the integration of AI into clinical workflows an irreversible structural trend. Over the past 24 months, medical AI has advanced from Proof-of-Concept (POC) validation into scaled commercialization. Onyx’s Endoscopic Image AI hardware and Surgical Robotics AI computer nodes have begun active commercial shipping, contributing directly to top-line growth.
  • Financial and Manufacturing Metrics: Currently, Onyx's revenue split is evenly divided between OEM/ODM device partnerships (50%) and smart healthcare/hospital distribution channels (50%). Within the OEM/ODM segment, approximately 60% of products have successfully integrated edge-AI capabilities. To accommodate high-tier medical device fabrication, Onyx has upgraded its core manufacturing and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to full GMP standards, completing its evolution from a medical PC supplier into an integrated medical device design, contract manufacturing, and production platform.
