The Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT) hosted the "New International Biomedical Horizons Forum" on March 16. In a historic ceremony witnessed by officials from the MOHW and the Administration of International Trade (TWAIT), a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between IEAT, the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI), and the Federation of Exporters and Trade Associations (FETA).
- Cross-Industry Synergy: IEAT Chairman Jack Huang highlighted that this is the first time the association has partnered with a national-level biomedical promoter. The alliance links IEAT’s 6,700 member companies with the specialized industry intelligence of IBMI.
- Global Visibility: IBMI Executive Director Chou Jih-haw stated that while Taiwan excels in R&D and clinical trials, the missing link has often been robust market matching and international trade networks. This new platform is designed to provide Taiwanese medical technologies with an efficient, high-visibility pathway to global markets.
