PharmaEssentia announced on March 22 that Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) has approved an optimized high-dose dosing regimen for Ropeg (Ropeginterferon alfa-2b) to be included in the product label.

• Clinical Value: The new regimen allows patients to reach the target dose of 500 mcg in as little as four weeks (starting at 250 mcg, increasing to 350 mcg, then 500 mcg). This is a significant improvement over the previous 20-week titration schedule.
