Ever Supreme Bio Technology has announced two major milestones. Thanks to sustained momentum in its cell therapy CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) orders, the company posted June consolidated revenue of NT$80.87 million, marking a 30% year-on-year growth and an 11% increase from the previous month—the highest June revenue in the company’s history. Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year has reached NT$398 million, and expectations for even stronger performance in the second half remain high, signaling continued positive growth momentum.
In addition, Ever Supreme’s investigational cell therapy UMSC01, developed using umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), has completed Phase 1 clinical trial enrollment in Q2. The results demonstrated favorable safety and preliminary efficacy, including marked improvement in EDSS (Expanded Disability Status Scale) scores for several participants and significant extension of relapse-free intervals. The company plans to initiate a Phase 2a exploratory efficacy trial in the third quarter of this year.
Ever Supreme noted that UMSC01 meets criteria for regenerative medicine products targeting severe, disabling, or life-threatening diseases with unmet medical needs, and could qualify for a five-year conditional approval, accelerating its clinical application and providing earlier access to patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases.
In the Phase 1 trial, no serious adverse events (SAEs) were reported. Some participants showed substantial neurological improvements, with EDSS scores decreasing from 4.0 to as low as 1.5 one year post-treatment—translating to significantly improved independence in daily living. One patient notably remained relapse-free for 19 months, a sharp contrast to the typical relapse rate of once every six months in MS patients.
The trial also attracted inquiries from potential participants across the UK, France, Macau, and Hong Kong, underscoring the international attention UMSC01 is receiving in the regenerative medicine field. The upcoming Phase 2a trial will further evaluate its therapeutic impact on MRI results, EDSS scores, quality of life, and relapse intervals—aiming to offer a novel, regenerative treatment for MS patients worldwide.
Currently, most MS treatments fall under Disease-Modifying Therapies (DMTs), such as interferon beta or fingolimod, which focus on modulating the immune response to reduce inflammation and slow disease progression. However, these therapies generally only reduce relapse frequency and cannot restore lost neurological function (e.g., walking, vision, or sensory ability). Additionally, some carry side effects like depression or arrhythmias.
In contrast, UMSC01 has shown excellent safety in Phase 1 and the potential to promote neural repair and prolong relapse-free periods. It not only complements existing therapies but also offers a shift from the conventional paradigm of "delaying deterioration" toward functional recovery and improved quality of life—positioning itself as a next-generation cell therapy for MS.
Globally, around 85% of MS patients are initially diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS). Without effective control, 60–80% eventually progress to secondary progressive MS (SPMS), characterized by worsening symptoms with no remission, leading to permanent walking impairment (EDSS ≥ 6), vision decline, bladder and cognitive dysfunction, and the need for long-term care.
Ever Supreme emphasized its commitment to advancing both UMSC01 and CAR001 through clinical development and international licensing efforts in Taiwan, while leveraging its CDMO platform to establish a leading regenerative medicine brand in Asia—bringing new therapeutic options and hope to patients worldwide.
Ever Supreme’s impressive June revenue came primarily from its CDMO services and cell storage business. Looking ahead, with the advancement of UMSC01 and CAR001 in clinical trials, the company expects to enter a new phase of accelerated growth in the coming quarters.
