Tanvex BioPharma-KY announced yesterday (25th) that since forming a strategic alliance with the Bora Group in January this year, it will now operate under the CDMO business brand “Bora Biologics” starting this week. Tanvex Chairman Bobby Sheng stated that the company’s first biosimilar drug, NYPOZ (reference original drug: Neupogen, a leukocyte growth factor), is set to officially launch in the U.S. market in the second half of this year. Additionally, the newly added 2,000-liter production line at the San Diego facility is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of next year.
At a press conference held yesterday, co-hosted by Bobby Sheng and CEO Steve Lam, Tanvex revealed that it has signed a contract with the international pharmaceutical giant Cipla, which will be responsible for the U.S. marketing and sales of Tanvex’s NYPOZ. The product’s U.S. launch is expected in the latter half of this year. Tanvex explained that this biopharmaceutical product will establish the San Diego plant as a commercial-scale manufacturing site, significantly enhancing Tanvex BioPharma’s competitiveness in securing local U.S. client orders.
Facing rapid changes in global industry and national policies, the San Diego plant’s 2,000-liter capacity expansion project is scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2026. Tanvex is actively pursuing 25 CDMO projects, with potential contract values totaling approximately $71.8 million USD. The company stated that as CDMO orders continue to grow, the San Diego facility can further expand by adding two more 2,000-liter production lines and possibly a 5,000-liter line.
Furthermore, Tanvex’s Zhubei facility has established an Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) laboratory equipped with key talent, equipment, and technology necessary for bioconjugation. After expansion, the CDMO Zhubei plant will be capable of toxicology batch production and manufacturing ADC products suitable for animal study-grade drugs, supporting the three major mainstream ADC technologies simultaneously.
