Adimmune announced on the 21st that the World Health Organization (WHO) published its Full Vaccine Product List on its official website in September, with Adimmune’s AdimFlu-S influenza vaccine, its tetanus toxoid vaccine, and the enterovirus vaccine developed by its subsidiary Enimmune all included in the WHO list.
The WHO established this procurement list to strengthen national and regional epidemic preparedness while enhancing the accessibility of vaccines. The inclusion signifies that Adimmune has officially entered the global epidemic-prevention supply chain, with the quality and production capacity of Taiwan-manufactured vaccines recognized internationally. This milestone is also expected to accelerate Adimmune’s global expansion.
According to the latest WHO announcement, the Full Vaccine Product List comprises more than 1,000 vaccine products available for procurement worldwide. Its purpose is to enhance understanding of global vaccine demand, supply, and price fluctuations, thereby helping countries assess affordability and risks of shortages. Through this mechanism, WHO aims to strengthen national and regional capabilities, improve global vaccine accessibility, and raise immunization coverage.
Adimmune stated that having domestically produced vaccines incorporated into the WHO supply chain carries significant meaning for Taiwan. The company intends to leverage this opportunity to reinforce global market linkages and further advance its internationalization efforts, fulfilling its mission as a Taiwanese vaccine maker contributing to epidemic prevention both domestically and worldwide.
Adimmune’s AdimFlu-S has long supplied nearly 50% of Taiwan’s public influenza vaccination program during the fall and winter seasons and has already been exported to Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. The company has also submitted a market authorization application in Brazil, passed the nation’s GMP inspection, and is preparing to enter the Southern Hemisphere market.
Adimmune’s tetanus toxoid vaccine remains the only domestically produced tetanus vaccine in Taiwan with regulatory approval. With an annual stable output of at least one million doses, the product not only supports national vaccine self-sufficiency but also has the capacity to supply international markets. Adimmune has also enhanced its single-dose tetanus formulation, which is expected to be fully available by the end of the year to better meet frontline emergency medical needs.
The enterovirus vaccine produced by Enimmune is also listed among WHO-procurable vaccines. Independently developed in Taiwan, the EV71 vaccine received local regulatory approval in 2023. In 2025, the company released complete Phase III clinical trial data showing a protection rate of 99.21%. Enimmune is actively expanding into Southeast Asia and has applied for regulatory approval in Macau, Vietnam, and Thailand. The company has also signed a sales agreement with ETANA, Indonesia’s largest private biopharmaceutical company, strengthening its presence in ASEAN markets. With the vaccine now included in the WHO list, its internationalization is expected to accelerate, extending its reach beyond Southeast Asia to markets worldwide.
Adimmune emphasized that although Taiwan is not a WHO member state, the company signed an SMTA2 agreement with WHO in 2024, ensuring that Taiwan will have immediate access to WHO-provided virus strains in the event of a novel influenza outbreak. This will allow rapid development of new influenza vaccines or antiviral treatments. The agreement strengthens Taiwan’s pandemic-response resilience and formalizes its role as a collaborative partner in global epidemic preparedness.
Adimmune also noted that it has long aligned itself with international standards. As early as 2012, the company joined the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) Influenza Vaccine Supply International Task Force, working alongside global influenza vaccine manufacturers such as Sanofi and GSK. Adimmune is also the only Taiwanese vaccine manufacturer participating in WHO’s Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Framework, giving it unique advantages in responding rapidly to emerging influenza threats and ensuring stable vaccine supply.
