Acer Medical, a subsidiary of Acer, announced that three of its innovative medical products have officially received TFDA (Taiwan Food and Drug Administration) registration and marketing approval:
- VeriCompact Portable X-ray System: A lightweight, high-mobility system designed for low-radiation imaging of adult pulmonary and orthopedic conditions. It is ideal for rapid deployment in home care, long-term care facilities, and rural outreach, reducing the risks associated with patient transport.
- VeriSee Platform: An integrated image analysis platform. By uploading fundus images from standard cameras, medical staff can simultaneously screen for Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and Glaucoma (GLC) using AI-driven analysis for rapid clinical decision support.
- VeriSee GLC (Glaucoma): Taiwan’s first AI-powered medical device software for glaucoma. It analyzes key indicators such as VCDR (Vertical Cup-to-Disc Ratio) and RNFL (Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer) defects. This tool is critical for early detection, as glaucoma symptoms are often imperceptible until late stages.
Acer Medical will showcase these TFDA-certified products and debut new smart healthcare solutions at the Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo starting Dec 4.
