BRIM Biotechnology Reports Major Clinical Progress; Breakthrough Success in Compassionate Use Cases
2026-05-22

BRIM Biotechnology is advancing three major ophthalmic candidates through Phase 2 clinical trials, reporting significant therapeutic improvements across several patient populations.

  • BRM424 (Neurotrophic Keratitis): Enrollment in the U.S. and Brazil has passed the 50% mark. Most treated patients show significant corneal repair and a gradual restoration of corneal sensitivity.
  • BRM421 (Dry Eye Disease & LSCD): A "legally blind" patient in Seattle with severe Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency (LSCD) underwent Compassionate Use treatment with BRM421. The patient’s vision improved significantly, and they can now use a mobile phone for reading and writing. Consequently, the FDA has approved an Intermediate-size Patient Population Expanded Access program for further patients with severe LSCD.
  • BRM411 (Glaucoma): Having passed Phase 1 safety reviews with high doses, the company is launching Phase 2 trials across 9 to 13 clinical centers in Taiwan starting after the Lunar New Year.
  • Corporate Outlook: Chairman Lin Qun stated the company aims to complete major licensing deals this year, leveraging its proprietary PDSP (Pro-Differentiating Stem Cell Peptide) platform to solidify a leadership position in global ophthalmology.
