Quanta Computer's Chairman Barry Lam revealed yesterday (1 August) that he is still very optimistic about the prospects of AI, and indicated the development of AI smart healthcare has unlimited possibilities. Quanta has already deployed in the relevant fields, with EverFortune.AI and aetherAI as the two most notable companies that Quanta invested.

EverFortune.AI is the first listed company in Taiwan to position itself as a medical AI company, has recently launched three generative AI projects, including one for acute brain injury detection, another for kidney disease and the other dubbed "gHi system" for medical records which was technology-transferred from the China Medical University Hospital.

In order to further penetrate into medical AI, Quanta allied with the National Defence Medical Center and the Tri-Service General Hospital to plan for the transfer of a number of intelligent medical technologies. Lam disclosed that Quanta has already reached cooperation with many hospitals, and the signing of this contract with the Tri-Service is the first step to penetrate into the military system, and with the continuous expansion of the product line, more complete medical solutions will be launched.

Lam shared that what impressed him the most during the cooperation was the unity of the three armed forces, which became a key to the success of the cooperation, and he hoped that the scope of cooperation between the two parties could be gradually expanded in the future, opening a new chapter for AI in smart healthcare.

Quanta has been involved in healthcare for more than 10 years and has worked directly with hospitals. The QOCA platform, which has been launched, covers three major applications, namely QOCA telemedicine, QOCA cloud and QOCA care, and provides AI-integrated enterprise cloud services to monitor and analyse data and assist healthcare workers.
