本院前身為「海軍第三醫院」民國36年成立於青島匯泉，迄今已逾七十年。民國95年由三軍總醫院承接改名為「三軍總醫院澎湖院區」，民國104年奉國防部令更銜為三軍總醫院澎湖分院，亦是澎湖老一輩口中的海軍醫院。本院醫師、護理師、藥師等醫技人員均由國防部軍醫局及三軍總醫院遴選優秀，且具有豐富醫療經驗之醫護行醫療服務相闕，提供澎湖在地10萬軍民醫學中心等級醫療照護。

Tungs' Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital was founded in 1971. It has operated for over half a century with the mission to "Respect Life and Promote Health" and has protected people's health in the coastline area since its foundation. In recent years, the hospital constantly upgrades its medical professionalism through the establishment of the "da Vinci Surgical System," "Hybrid Operating Room," and "Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment Center," which shorten the time for surgery and examination through advanced instruments and strengthen the care for diseases. Our hospital also improves medical care quality through ongoing participation in institute assessments in Taiwan and abroad. In 2019, Tungs' Taichung MetroHarbor Hospital passed three certifications granted by the Joint Commission of Taiwan (JCT): Coronary Artery Disease Care Certification, Health Check-up Program Certification, and Aesthetic Medicine Quality Certification. Despite the constraint of time and space during the 2020 pandemic, Tungs' hospital applied the video conferencing tech to complete the Joint Commission International (JCI) International Medical Assessment Certification for the fifth time, demonstrating the hospital's determination in the continuous pursuit of excellence.
